We understand that good die design is essential for creating the perfect product and maintaining an efficient production line. Ensuring that the material flows correctly through the die, and that the right level and speed of expansion is being achieved is fundamental to creating products that are going to be successful.

Extrusion-Link models material flows and optimises path lengths to avoid differential flow or dead spaces. Stress analysis is standard and is especially important on multi-hole die plates for micro-feeds in the Aqua industry for example.

Not all customers know exactly what product they would like to produce and so Extrusion-Link is uniquely positioned to offer expertise, gathered through many years of working in the snack, cereal, and feed markets, to advise and design dies for our customers.

Extrusion-Link can offer services such as reverse engineering existing dies and replacing parts on worn dies. We are also able to offer upgrades to dies such as pressure/temperature systems, pressure release valves, cutter and safety mounts and lifting eyes. Extrusion-Link can design, and manufacture dies suitable for ribbon production, co-extrusion or cornflake ropes, heated and cooled dies or plate and insert dies.

Dies are heavy and must be moved and attached safely. Extrusion-Link has equipment available for moving and positioning dies and offers appropriate toolkits and service to ensure continuity of production.
